On January 15th Clint Lalonde from BC Campus visited VIU to talk about the BCcampus Open Textbook Project.  Clint Lalonde manages the Open Education department at BCcampus and is an extremely experienced educational technologist in all aspects of teaching and learning. Clint was joined by Jessie Key, one of three BC Campus Faculty Fellows; post-secondary educators who have been tasked with researching, mentoring and performing outreach on Open Textbooks. This session was aimed at faculty who were interested in integrating learning technologies, especially open educational resources into their teaching and learning practices.

Clint is an educational technologist and an advocate for the use of open educational resources and open education practices in higher education. Clint has worked in the British Columbia post-secondary system for 20 years, and is currently the Manager of Open Education at BCcampus where he is a project lead on the BC Open Textbook project, working towards providing post-secondary faculty & students with free and openly licensed remixable textbooks.
